Anna von Hausswolff
Described by a plethora of Swedish reviewers as the ‘perfect debut album’, von Hausswolff’s Singing from the Grave (2010) is a remarkable accomplishment. Her music is unapologetically sensual, grandiose, and heart- wrenching, with a unique vocal sound (at times, reminiscent of Kate Bush) and polished instrumental composition. Best tracks: ‘Move On’, ‘Track of Time’, ‘Pills’ (Singing from the Grave, 2010).
